Dr. (Mufti) Mohammad Omer Rafique

Islamic Finance Scholar | Shari’ah Advisor | Academic & Lead Trainer

Mufti Dr. Omer is a distinguished Islamic finance scholar, Shari’ah advisor, academic, and trainer with extensive experience across Islamic finance education, Shari’ah governance, Shari’ah audit, and emerging financial technologies. He currently serves as a Lead Trainer at TAIF Digital Institute, where he has launched and delivered specialized programs including Shari’ah Audit Procedures and 360-Degree Shari’ah Compliance in Commercial Organizations, supporting professionals across multiple jurisdictions.

Academically, Mufti Dr. Omer holds appointments as Assistant Professor of Management Sciences and has taught extensively at leading institutions, including Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Bahria University, Karachi University, and PAF-KIET. His teaching portfolio spans Islamic economics, Islamic finance, Islamic capital markets, Shari’ah governance, Shari’ah audit, business research methodology, and management sciences. He is also actively involved in research supervision, curriculum development, and the design of Islamic finance academic programs.

In addition to academia, Mufti Dr. Omer is an active Shari’ah advisor and consultant to international organizations. He serves as a Shari’ah Advisor to ClariFi DAO (UK), contributing to Shari’ah-compliant DeFi frameworks, whitepaper development, and Islamic staking mechanisms. He is also engaged as a Shari’ah Panel Consultant at Universiti Islam Selangor (Malaysia), providing expert opinions, advisory services, and professional training on Shari’ah-compliant business and Islamic finance.

His professional practice further includes roles as Islamic Finance Trainer at the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF), Pakistan, Research Analyst at Al Mabrook (Canada) focusing on Shari’ah-compliant crowdfunding and tokenization platforms, and Shari’ah Consultant at Qordata (USA). He also has over nine years of experience as a Shari’ah Auditor and Advisor, working closely with institutions to ensure compliance, governance, and ethical financial practices.

Mufti Dr. Omer is also an Authorized Fatwa Writer at Darul-Ifta, Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia (Bannori Town), reflecting his strong grounding in classical Islamic scholarship alongside modern financial applications. Known for his case-based and activity-driven teaching approach, he consistently receives high participant ratings for his ability to translate complex Shari’ah and Islamic finance concepts into practical, real-world applications.

Sarfaraz Sarwar Khan is a seasoned entrepreneur, consultant, and trainer with extensive experience in business strategy, change management, marketing, and organizational growth. He currently serves as CEO of ALSAEE Group and Chief Growth Officer (CGO) at AsSadiq Shariah Consulting, where he supports businesses in achieving sustainable growth through structured strategy, process optimization, and market-driven execution.

He is a PhD Scholar in Entrepreneurship, specializing in Family Business Succession Planning, with a strong academic and practical focus on helping family-owned enterprises ensure continuity, leadership transition, and long-term sustainability. His work bridges theory and practice, making him particularly effective in guiding family businesses through governance, growth, and generational change.

Sarfaraz holds multiple professional certifications, including Certified Professional Marketer (Asia Pacific) from the Marketing Association of Pakistan, Certified Supply Chain Manager, and Certified Project Manager from iLSSI (UK). These credentials complement his hands-on consulting experience and enable him to deliver practical, results-oriented solutions across diverse industries.

In addition to his corporate roles, he serves as Head of Trainings & Member Relations at the Pakistani Executive Forum, where he actively contributes to leadership development and executive capacity building. He has consulted for and supported the growth of several retail and service brands, including SmartDukaan.pk, Brandeach.pk, VAGO Designer Stitching, Campus Fashion, Hafiz Sweets, and numerous other ventures.

Manal Al-Haddad is a PhD researcher and consultant specializing in Islamic Economics and Finance and Family Business Governance, with over 15 years of academic and professional experience across Palestine and Türkiye.

She is deeply committed to the belief that women’s empowerment in the Islamic economy is not a luxury, but a necessity for building strong, sustainable, and independent societies. Throughout her career, Manal has worked closely with universities, corporations, and financial institutions to design Shari’ah-compliant administrative and financial systems, develop effective zakah and waqf structures, and support the long-term sustainability of family-owned businesses.

Her work focuses on delivering practical, impact-driven solutions through training, consultancy, and system-building, while also nurturing capable female leaders who can drive meaningful change.
