Humayon Dar

Humayoun Dar leads the Cambridge Institute of Islamic Finance at the University of Cambridge, aiming to establish it as a global center of excellence for research, training, and capacity building in Islamic finance. Previously, as Chairman of HD-Edbiz Group, he developed a global advisory business serving Islamic financial institutions, regulators, and multilateral organizations. He founded the Global Islamic Finance Report (GIFR) in 2010, the Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) in 2011, and Islamic Finance Review (ISFIRE), London’s only quarterly print magazine on Islamic banking and finance. Humayoun also holds board positions in prominent organizations such as the Arab British Chamber of Commerce and the Finance Accreditation Agency, contributing to academic and professional qualification development in Islamic finance.
