Programme Overview

The Leadership tier's capability programme: where the AI Executive Briefing gives a board strategic clarity in 2.5 hours, The AI-Fluent Board sits directors down with the tools and does not stand up again until two questions are answered at working depth — how do I use AI in my own board work? and how does this board govern AI across the firm? Day one answers both — a leader's mental model, hands-on work on the director's own materials, the governance and regulatory frame, and the Five-Question Framework applied to a live decision — and is complete in itself. Day two converts knowledge into capability: verification labs, a vendor-pitch simulation, a deepfake scenario, a committee-charter workshop with drafted output, and a board AI roadmap capstone.

Programme Outline

Day One — The AI-Fluent Director

Both questions answered at working depth: fluent in the seat, briefed on the governance. Opens with pre-programme self-assessment against five director-level outcomes.

Complete in Itself

A Leader's Mental Model

Capabilities, limitations, and the human–AI boundary. The tool / workflow layer / agent taxonomy and the very different governance weights each carries.

Capability & Limits

AI in the Boardroom Seat

Hands-on across the full meeting cycle: interrogating the pack, shaping the agenda, live support, automated minutes, and a standing assistant between meetings.

The Seat

Governance, Risk & Regulation

Regulatory direction of travel, model risk, bias, explainability, data confidentiality, deepfakes, and the assurance question: who audits AI use?

Govern

Day Two — From Knowledge to Capability

Drills: The Board Pack Gauntlet, The Verification Lab, Vendor Pitch Simulation, Deepfake Scenario, Committee Charter Workshop, and Board AI Roadmap Capstone.

Labs & Simulations

What Participants Walk Away With

Working fluency in the director's own AI workflow across the full meeting cycle
Durable mental model of capability, limitation, and the tool / workflow / agent distinction
The Five-Question Framework applied to live decisions and vendor pitches
A verification discipline proven in the room — the planted error caught by human interrogation
Drafted governance artefacts: committee charter language and a 12-month board AI roadmap

The AI-Fluent Board

From AI-Aware to AI-Fluent — For Directors Who Use and Govern AI

Equip your board with working fluency in AI — not just awareness. Directors use AI in their own board work, hands-on across the full meeting cycle, and govern its use everywhere else. Day one builds the leader's mental model and the Five-Question Framework; day two converts knowledge into capability through drills, simulations, and drafted governance artefacts the board keeps.
