What You Will Learn
This course covers all the relevant AAOIFI Standards included in the CSAA exam, which includes the 59 Shariah Standards, 9 Governance Standards, and 4 Auditing Standards.
Participants will have access to a comprehensive suite of learning tools, including lecture slides, concept checkers, quizzes, and a mock exam. These materials are designed to thoroughly prepare participants for the CSAA exam.
Beyond exam preparation, this course provides a deep understanding of the Shariah principles that guide Islamic financial activities, offering participants a holistic perspective on Islamic finance.

Mufti Yousuf Sultan
Founder and CEO, Adl Advisory
Dr. Yousuf is a distinguished figure in the Islamic finance industry. He holds a PhD and MSc from INCEIF, Malaysia, and serves as an AAOIFI Certified Shariah Adviser and Auditor (CSAA). As a Mufti in Shariah and Islamic Jurisprudence, Yousuf’s academic prowess is complemented by his practical knowledge exemplified by him being a Registered Shariah Adviser with the Securities Commission of Malaysia and a Certified Islamic Finance Executive (CIFE) from Ethica, Dubai.
He is the Founder and CEO of Adl Advisory, Malaysia, specializing in Shariah advisory, consultancy, and training services. Yousuf’s influence extends to Bangladesh, where he co-founded IFA Consultancy, a pioneering institution promoting Islamic Finance through training programs, workshops, and consultancy services.
Yousuf is an active Shariah committee member for institutions in multiple countries, engaging with two Working Groups for the Governance Standard Committee at AAOIFI. He holds professional memberships with ASAS and CIIF.
Recognized for his contributions, he received the BAFF 2023 Award from the Bangladesh AAOIFI Fellow’s Forum. Yousuf is also a prolific researcher, with notable publications, including “Responsible Finance – Ethical and Islamic Finance: Meeting the Global Agenda.”
Mohammad Mishal
Head of Shariah, Adl Advisory, CSAA
Mohammad Mishal is the Head of Shariah at Adl Advisory Sdn. Bhd. Hailing from Madinah, Saudi Arabia, he holds a double major in Law and Shariah from IIUM. Furthering his academic journey, he earned a Masters in Islamic Finance Practices (MIFP) from INCEIF, and became a Certified Shariah Adviser and Auditor (CSAA) accredited by AAOIFI.
With a global perspective, Mohamad Mishal has worked with clients across diverse regions, including Canada, South Africa, Malaysia, Turkey, Oman, and Indonesia. His expertise spans Islamic finance research, product structuring, and training, covering AAOIFI Shariah standards and comprehensive courses on Shariah governance, Islamic social finance, and Islamic finance and business ethics.
Mishal’s project portfolio reflects a commitment to innovation in Islamic finance, ranging from pioneering startup financing instruments to venturing into blockchain-based financing and cryptocurrency. His experience also extends to Islamic social finance initiatives, encompassing projects related to Zakat, charity crowdfunding, Wasiyyah, and hibah.
